Be a tourist. Even at home!
World Tourism Day is a good excuse to hit the road. But this time you don’t have to go far. Sometimes all it takes is looking at a familiar town from a completely different perspective.
How many times do we pass the same streets, squares and monuments without thinking about their history? How many places do we put off “for later” because they’re right next door and we’ll always have time to see them?
Stargard can surprise even those who have known it for years. Monumental buildings, traces of medieval history, urban details, green spaces, events, local flavours and places best discovered on a leisurely walk – everyone can find their own
way of getting to know the town here.
On 27 September we celebrate World Tourism Day. It’s a great opportunity to swap your daily route for a less obvious one for a day. Turn into a different street. Look up. Stop by a building you usually just walk past. Take a photo. Learn the history of a place, or simply set off without a particular plan.
Because discovery doesn’t always start with a long journey.
Sometimes it starts right here, in Stargard.
Be a tourist. Even at home. And discover Stargard your way.
