Spójnia Stargard is one of the city’s best-known sports clubs and an important part of its identity. The club’s history dates back to 1949, and its greatest achievement was finishing as Polish league runners-up in 1997. The club has also won the first-division championship and returned to the top flight in 2018, as well as reaching the Polish Cup final in 2021.
Spójnia is also a breeding ground for basketball talent. Its former players include Polish national team members Adam Hrycaniuk and Paweł Leończyk. In 2026, young players from the PGE Spójnia Academy won the Polish U15 Championship.
Today, Spójnia’s games at the sports hall on Pierwszej Brygady Street offer sporting excitement, loud chants and the unique atmosphere of the club’s white-and-burgundy stands. It is a place where history meets new generations of players and fans – well worth a visit to experience the sporting spirit of Stargard.
