Griffins Trail

Duration approx. 3–5 hours Route distance 7 km (on foot) Points on the route 17 points

A family game of searching for hidden figures turns an ordinary walk into an adventure full of history and urban secrets.

Discover Stargard in a completely new, adventure-packed way! If you’re planning a family walk that will engage children from the very first minute, the Stargard Griffins Trail is a perfect choice.

It’s an unusual urban game in which Stargard’s history becomes the backdrop for an exciting mission. Around the picturesque Old Town and along the mighty medieval fortifications, 17 small brass figures are hiding. Each Griffin has its own role and reveals secrets from the past – from the old executioner’s house and the historic pharmacy to the old mills and traditional craft workshops.

Instead of a boring guidebook, an exciting treasure hunt awaits you! The route follows an intuitive, smooth loop, so you won’t have to take unnecessary detours.

Just scan the QR codes next to the figures to solve the puzzles and discover the town’s legends. Lace up your comfortable shoes, bring your camera and set off in search of Stargard’s brass guardians!

Discover Stargard in a new dimension: the “Griffins Trail in Stargard” Quest

We invite all residents and visitors to take part in a fascinating outdoor game on foot, created in cooperation with the Questing Foundation (Fundacja Questingu), the FILARY Stargard Science Centre and the Stargard Culture Centre. The theme of the game is the pride and symbol of our town – the Griffin from Stargard’s coat of arms, or more precisely its smaller cousins, the little Griffins.

Practical information about the route:

The route is well planned, accessible to everyone and a great way to spend your free time. Completing the whole trail takes 45 to 90 minutes. The game starts at the gate leading into Castle Park, near the Białogłówka Tower (the easiest way is to turn from B. Chrobrego Street into Kasztelańska Street and head straight for the gate). All you need to set off are comfortable shoes and a printed leaflet with a pen, or a smartphone with the quest app installed.
